Lab Accused Of
Falsifying Drug-Testing Results
The owner of one of
Oklahoma City's largest drug testing laboratories was arrested
Friday on charges that he fixed court-ordered tests to help people
test negative for drugs.
Joe Clay Bouldin of
Bulldog Labs was taken into custody following a three-month
investigation.
Bouldin is charged
with two counts of racketeering involving 46 separate allegations
where he allegedly manipulated drug-testing results to mislead the
judicial system, Eyewitness News 5's Terri Watkins reported.
Hundreds -- perhaps
even thousands -- of individual test results may have been altered,
police said.
An undercover
officer who was sent into Bulldog Labs as part of the investigation
claimed he was able to buy a clean drug test for $100.
Eyewitness News 5
was there when Bouldin was arrested and asked him if took money to
guarantee negative tests results for buyers.
"I gave a man clean
urine three different times," Bouldin said. "He said he had a chance
to get a so-called relapse and needed to get the drugs out of his
system so he could get into a rehabilitation system."
"That was the way
it was presented to me," he said.
In addition to
Bouldin, the officer manager of Bulldog Labs, Joy Lynn Lippe, is
also named in the charge.
