Drug Test Information - Questions With Answers

The drug test information included below will provide you critical advice.

1.

How Long Can The Various Drugs Be Detected?

Impurities can stay in your body anywhere from several hours to a lifetime. The length of time depends on the types and amounts of impurities absorbed by your body, where they are stored in your body, your rate of metabolism and general health. There is also some variation based upon the overall sensitivity of the test itself.  See the next question for more information on the sensitivity of drug tests.

For a complete listing of how long various toxins stay in the body click > here <.

2.

Are Some Drug Tests More Sensitive Than Others?

Unfortunately yes.  Like most products the quality, target market and price vary widely.  Different drug tests accept different cut-off values for detecting a substance in your body. Where one test might fail you another might allow you to pass and there is no way to know which tests will be administered.

There are federal government standards, but only those being tested by a group that adheres to these standards need follow these more stringent (expensive) standards..

3.

Are Some People More Prone To Failing A Drug Test?

Yes, some people are more prone to collect and store the impurities in their systems.  There are many factors that can affect the ability to pass a drug test.

  • Amount and Frequency of Use: Single, isolated, small doses are generally less likely to be detected. Chronic and long-term use typically results in much longer detection periods based upon the drug.

  • Metabolic Rate: Individuals with slower body metabolism are prone to longer drug detection periods.

  • Body Mass: In general, human metabolism slows with increased body mass, resulting in longer drug detection periods. In addition, THC (marijuana's active ingredient) and PCP are known to quickly accumulate in fatty tissue. Chronic users, physically inactive users, and individuals with a high percentage of body fat in relation to total body mass are prone to longer drug detection periods.

  • Age:  In general, human metabolism slows with age, resulting in longer drug detection periods.

  • Overall Health:  In general, human metabolism slows during periods of deteriorating health, resulting in longer drug detection periods.

  • Drug Tolerance:  Users typically metabolize a drug faster once a tolerance to the drug is established.

  • Urine pH:  Urine pH can impact drug detection periods. Typically, highly acidic urine results in shorter drug detection periods.

4.

What Drugs Do They Typically Test For?

There are many many manufacturers of drug tests with each manufacturing many many different test kits.  The other bad news is that you will in all likelihood never know which manufacturer and/or test will be administered before hand.

To this end one must assume the worst and plan on the BIG 10.

UNLESS - You are in an environment where they might be looking for something specific such as alcohol, nicotine, steroids or such.  These tests are available and will be administered in those environments.

The bottom line is you can never tell.

  1. Opium (OPI) - grass, pot, weed, bud, Mary Jane, dope, indo, hydro

  2. Phencyclidine (PCP) - PCP, Angel Dust, Boat, Hog, Love Boat

  3. Barbiturates (BAR) - Amytal, Nembutal, Seconal, Phenobarbital; Barbs

  4. Benzodiazepines (BZO) - Activan, Halcion, Librium, Rohypnol, Valium; Roofies, Xanax

  5. Tricyclic Antidepressants (TCA) -

    • Amitriptyline (Tryptizol, Domical, Lentizol, Limbitrol, Triptafen)

    • Clomipramine (Anafranil)

    • Imipramine (Tofranil)

    • Lofepramine (Gamanil)

  6. Cocaine (COC) - Coke, Crack, Flake, Rocks Snow

  7. Amphetamine (AMP) - Biphetamine, Dexedrine; Black Beauties, Crosses, Hearts

  8. Methamphetamine (mAMP) - Desoxyn; Crank, Crystal, Class, Ice, Speed

  9. Marijuana (THC) - Blunt, Grass, Herb, Pot, Reefer, Sinsemilla, Smoke, Weed

  10. Methadone (MTD) - Amidone, Dolophine, Methadose

5.

What If I Do Not Know When The Test Will Be Administered?

Random drug testing is a real problem and it has no real good answer.  That is the plan and it is very effective.  Luckily most tests will be announced in advance and you can take action to minimize your risk.

Our Urine, Blood and Saliva products need a minimum of one hour action on your part.  two would be much better.  Our hair test product is effective immediately after use, but it requires washing your hair.

6.

What If I Do Not Know If It Will Be A Urine, Blood, Saliva Or Hair Drug Test

There are no products that can be used for urine, blood, saliva and hair.  You must at a minimum have two products.  One for the urine, blood and saliva and one for the hair.  We provide deeply discounted packages that include the two products required to address these areas.

7.

Can Prescription or Over-The-Counter Products Cause Me To Fail My Drug Test?

Be aware that certain foods, as well as prescription and over-the-counter medications can cause you to test "positive" for various kinds of drugs.

One example that was recently shown to cause a false positive on the Discovery Channel TV Show "Myth Busters" was eating bagels with poppy seeds and testing positive for opium.  For more information on things that can cause a false positive click > here <.

8.

Why Can Drinking Lots Of Water, Coffee or Even Soda Cause Me To Fail?

Most tests today check for sample temperature, PH and Creatine levels.  Drinking an excessive amount of water, coffee or any diuretics before your test can cause what is known as a diluted specimen.  Some companies take this as a test failure as the  diluted specimen may be inadvertent or may be on purpose to fool the drug test.

If you do not have a product that can reestablish the correct levels you are at a real risk as some companies will let you retake the test and some will not.

9.

What Should I Do Before Taking A Drug Test?

There are many things that can affect a drug test and there are things one can do to reduce the chances of detection in the days and weeks before a test.

  • Tip 1: Get yourself the best detox product. The bottom line is, how much risk is acceptable for you personally. It is much more desirable to have the protection and not need it than have needed the protection and not had it.

  • Tip 2: Avoid using any toxins and/or any toxic environment for at least 48 hours before your deadline. The longer the better.

  • Tip 3: Incorporate any healthy diet the week prior t o your personal deadline. High fat foods, greasy foods (particularly butters, cream sauces, and fried foods) and junk foods slow the detoxification process.

  • Tip 4: Consume only light meals the day of your personal deadline.

  • Tip 5: Avoid alcoholic beverages, over the counter and/or unnecessary medications.

  • Tip 6: For at least (2) days prior t o the day of your deadline consume the minimum of (4) 16 ounce glasses of water per day. Water is the catalyst for the body's natural detoxification process. Drinking water will help flush toxins out of your body. Be careful, do not overdo the water.

  • Tip 7: Exercise the week.  Aerobic exercise raises your metabolism which assists greatly in the detoxification process.  Do not exercise the day of your urine or blood test.
